Our little campsite at 7,800ft. The mountain on the right is supposedly Denali! So close you can touch it. I couldn't figure out why we had to bust our butts up the West Buttress and go the long way.

The three amigos: left->right - Fausto, Francisco and Frank.

Frank posing in front of the Denali monolith with his famous REI cup!

Frank posing as little red riding hood. The reason for this was to avoid getting burnt from reflected UV, not to attract wolves. However, this dress code kept everyone distant for some reason...

Frank again posing in more sensible attire. Note the white soft mist in the background - just like a fairy tale with little red riding hoods prancing around.

A big storm approached in the evening. It was over by morning.

Fausto and Francisco taking a peak at me. They must have been up to something.

Francisco making himself look tougher than the mountain by using this friendly gesture. He regreted doing this later on in the trip.

Frank doing some modelling for Cosmo. It could make a centerfold if it wasn't for his red-riding hood look-alike.

Francisco not as impressive, but still pretty cool to make it into Dolly magazine.
